Hi There Friends and Family,
We might be crazy. 19 days-3 kids-over 4,300 miles. You know that great American road trip you've always dreamed about? We're doing it, so you don't have to. Seriously, though, we're excited to visit Arthur's grandmother, parents, sisters and extended family in Kentucky, our good friends and former Pastor in Indiana, and Aunt Linda & Uncle Steven in Missouri. Plus, all the kooky museums and roadside oddities we can find.

Nicole - who for some reason thinks she'll actually be able to keep a blog on this trip, not to mention polish off a stack of books. (Note: These books are all set in areas of the country we'll be visiting! I hope I get to at least some of them.)

| Arthur told me to include this picture, too. Because if one of the kids wanders off it will be a "Kentucky Bust." |
Jane - will be turning 7 on this trip and plans to spend the entire car ride singing along to the Frozen and Annie Get Your Gun soundtracks. Mom and Dad have other plans.
Grace - our 4½ year old who has been talking about going to "Untucky" for months now. She has her toy trains and cars packed and is excited by the vast amount of secret cubby holes that our new-to-us van has in the back.
Rosalie - our 1 year old who we are praying doesn't get her days and nights confused (sleeping all day in the car and then partying all night in the hotel rooms).
We head out tomorrow. We'll keep you posted!
(Also, I know they say not to let people know when you're going out of town, but Dad will be checking on the house regularly. Plus, Grandma Vi-Super Spy lives across the street and will report back to us. Not to mention, our next door neighbor runs a security company. So, hopefully our bases are covered.)
