Our last full day in Colorado was spent enjoying my new favorite past time - fishing. Will agreed to take Jane, Grace and me out early in the morning. I didn't catch a thing, but Jane caught another rainbow trout and Will and Grace caught a kokanee salmon! It was so beautiful. The mud was even deeper after yesterday's storm. But, the clouds were settling in little puffs over the lake and the mist was rising up from the water. It was like something out of a dream. We fished until the sun came up over the ridge and then fished a little more. We packed it in about 9 a.m.

Back at home, Charlotte was finishing her pancakes, but came out to investigate. We cleaned and gutted the salmon and discovered it was full of roe. I decided to look up a recipe for it and spent the morning brining it. I chickened out of eating it raw, so used the electric fry pan to cook it with a little olive oil and garlic salt. It kind of looked like little scrambled eggs. It was very salty - not sure if that was from the brine or if it would have naturally tasted that way. We all tried a bit and then I threw the rest away. It wasn't that great.
I watched as Char taught me how to prepare the salmon. Lime, garlic salt, Lawry's seasoning salt and pepper, then close it up in foil and cook for an hour at 375. When we pulled it out of the oven - WOW! It was delicious. So much easier to eat than the trout, because the bones were bigger and easier to pull out. It had a chewier texture and more of a fishy taste, but it was so fresh and delicious.

| I think Heather was the BoJenga champ. |
After a couple of rounds of BoJenga (Boggle and Jenga combined) and Rummikub, we started booting up to go back out to fish some more. Will had to finish cutting up some timber before we could go, so Arthur and I took a quick walk and admired the property.
Then, it was off for our last time on the lake. It was a little less muddy, which was good. We caught seven more fish while we watched the sunset. Nothing better in the world than that.

Even Joseph wanted to play BoJenga!
